President Xie skipped his morning run again. He had intended to linger in bed and enjoy some tender moments with his young boyfriend, but to his surprise, Young Master Jiang—who had no classes this morning—got up exceptionally early and looked ready to head out.
Jiang Yuan entered the walk-in closet to pick out his clothes. Xie Chengnan noticed that instead of his usual hoodies and jeans, Jiang Yuan had selected a deep blue suit.
The well-tailored blazer nipped in at his beautiful, slender waist, while the suit trousers accentuated his long, straight legs and hugged the firm, rounded curve of his backside. It was a sight that invited endless wandering thoughts.
This was the first time Xie Chengnan had seen Jiang Yuan in formal wear. The moment the boy finished tying his necktie, the youth in the full-length mirror seemed to suddenly shed his adolescent greenness, his features radiating a newfound steadiness and composure.
Xie Chengnan’s Adam’s apple bobbed. He kicked aside the duvet still bunched around his waist and walked barefoot into the closet.
Jiang Yuan startled and turned around. "What are you doing walk—mmph." His unfinished words were swallowed whole.
The newly tied necktie was unraveled once more, and the crisply ironed shirt was tossed onto the floor like a discarded rag.
Xie Chengnan’s movements were somewhat feral, devoid of his usual gentle restraint. The slight sting of teeth grazing skin gradually transformed into an inexplicable, fluttering throb of excitement.
Jiang Yuan braced himself against the cool surface of the dressing mirror, watching the two figures overlapping in the glass. A flush of pink slowly crept up his spine, where marks of varying depths—some fresh, some fading—layered over one another until they resembled a flower blooming in its final, decadent glory.
Xie Chengnan’s low, husky voice murmured intermittently against his ear, "A-Yuan... baby... you’re truly going to be the death of me..."
Jiang Yuan wanted to scold him, but when he opened his mouth, only broken sobs came out.
When Xie Chengnan’s fingers began to explore uncharted territory, the young master suddenly snapped back to his senses. Realizing the older man's intent, he began to struggle violently.
"No... you can't!" Jiang Yuan tried to break free from the embrace, crying out in a panic, "Not there... not today..."
Xie Chengnan’s movements paused for only a second before he began to coax him. "Don't be afraid. I'll only use my hand..."
Hearing this promise, the young master hesitantly stopped resisting. He silently held his breath, feeling a mix of shame and a faint, hidden anticipation.
Sensing that his young lover had finally relaxed, Xie Chengnan set his jaw and began to explore with careful trepidation. He tried to proceed as slowly as possible, but because it was so sudden and they were entirely unprepared, Jiang Yuan soon furrowed his brows in discomfort.
Seeing his boyfriend’s distress, Professor Xie could only withdraw with regret. He kissed him tenderly to soothe him. A moment later, Jiang Yuan looked as if he had been fished out of a river—breathless, drenched in sweat, and slumped limply in Xie Chengnan’s arms.
Xie Chengnan carried him into the shower to wash up, though he wasn't quite so much of a gentleman this time.
Young Master Jiang still remembered the "flag" he had planted earlier and firmly refused. "Don't even think about it!"
"Baby... good baby... help me..." Professor Xie acted shamelessly, wheedling and pestering until he finally secured a bit of "welfare" for himself.
By the time Jiang Yuan was dressed again, two hours had passed. The walk-in closet and the dressing mirror were a mess, and that deep blue suit had suffered a tragic fate; it was unclear if it could even be saved.
The young master gave his boyfriend a kick and said with a wooden face, "You clean it up."
Xie Chengnan adjusted his cufflinks and said calmly, "Jason will clean it."
Jiang Yuan: "!!!" How can you be so shameless? Jason is just a child!
Xie Chengnan guessed his thoughts from his expression and didn't know whether to laugh or cry. "No matter how smart he is, he’s just a robot. He won't think too much about it."
Jiang Yuan gave Professor Xie a suspicious look but ultimately said nothing.
Feeling refreshed, Professor Xie asked considerately, "Where are you going? I'll drive you."
Jiang Yuan returned to his expressionless mask. "To Chenxing Entertainment."
Xie Chengnan paused.
"Fang Yuan’s entertainment company," Jiang Yuan explained. "The one from last time at Amoy, where he called over all those young idols." At this point, Jiang Yuan gave him a chilly look. "Oh, right. There was also that young boy who touched your thigh."
Professor Xie, suddenly having old scores settled against him: "..."
"Ahem." Xie Chengnan cleared his throat to change the subject. "What made you think of going there?"
The young master let out an ambiguous laugh. "To go look at handsome guys."
Professor Xie turned his head and asked, "Haven't been disciplined enough?"
Jiang Yuan blinked. Disciplined for what? Once he realized the implication behind Xie Chengnan’s words, the young master exploded. "Shut up!"
President Xie remained composed. "I, for one, quite like it when you open your mouth."
Provoked into a fit of embarrassment and rage, the young master turned and stormed off. President Xie had no choice but to follow behind, coaxing him with "baby" and "sweetheart." He only had his own loose tongue to blame.
It wasn't until the car had been on the road for a long time that Jiang Yuan finally deigned to speak to Xie Chengnan. "I'm planning to do a comprehensive overhaul of the platform first. I'll ban all the non-compliant streaming rooms and then launch a talent survival livestream.
"Fang Yuan’s company has many trainees who haven't debuted yet. Regardless of their talent, their visuals are at least top-tier. I’ll help them gain exposure, and they can pull in traffic for the platform. It’s a win-win situation.
"There’s another model I thought of last night while watching you assemble the robot. Actually, the working process of many artisans possesses a unique aesthetic beauty. Even if they don't say a word, just watching them work can make you feel calm and immersed. It should be a good selling point for the demographic that prefers peace over noise.
"This is the general framework for now. I'm going to talk to Fang Yuan today, and then I'll come up with a specific proposal."
Watching his young boyfriend speak with such eloquence and confidence, Xie Chengnan felt a strange sense of accomplishment. It was like a parent seeing their child grow up overnight; he couldn't help but feel proud.
President Xie felt he should support his young lover with practical action. "Qi Nian mentioned looking for a celebrity spokesperson. You can bring it up with Fang Yuan. We can use the endorsement contract as the grand prize for the talent show. I’ve seen the endorsement fees; they should be quite attractive."
Jiang Yuan’s eyes lit up. "That’s a great idea."
Xie Chengnan added another suggestion: "You could also let Jason try livestreaming."
"Eh?" Jiang Yuan was stunned. "Jason?"
Xie Chengnan tapped his fingers on the steering wheel. "I’ve noticed people online are quite interested in interacting with AI. Jason can help you pull in traffic, and he can also help me with promotion. It’s a good deal."
Jiang Yuan took out his phone to note these two points down, the corners of his mouth curling up slightly. Since his boyfriend was putting in so much effort to help, he would grudgingly forgive him.
Xie Chengnan still had to go to the lab, so he dropped Jiang Yuan off at the entrance of Chenxing before leaving.
Fang Yuan knew Jiang Yuan was coming and was waiting downstairs with his secretary. He was quite surprised to see him in a full suit. "Yo, Young Master Jiang is looking quite formal today."
Jiang Yuan hooked his lips into a smile. "I'm here to talk business today, so naturally, I have to be a bit more formal."
Fang Yuan led him to the General Manager’s office. The secretary poured tea for them and then withdrew.
Jiang Yuan spoke first. "I’ve taken over a struggling little company—a livestreaming platform. I’m planning to produce a talent survival livestream to build up popularity, and I wanted to see if you’re interested in a collaboration."
"A talent survival livestream?" Fang Yuan arched an eyebrow, curious. "What’s the format?"
Jiang Yuan explained his concept. "It’ll have the feel of a reality show, but without the editing. It will be presented to the audience directly through livestreams.
"I’ll provide a manor as the venue. The contestants will livestream their daily lives on the platform, and of course, we’ll set up some PK challenges.
"Fans can interact with their idols in real-time on the platform. The final rankings will be based on the popularity of the contestants' streaming rooms and the amount of gifts they receive.
"The prize for first place is a spokesperson contract for Nanyuan Technology. For the high-popularity contestants, your company can also debut them as a group. We can negotiate their required streaming hours on the platform later."
Fang Yuan was immediately interested. This essentially meant using Jiang Yuan’s money and platform to promote his company’s trainees. It was a mutually beneficial arrangement where everyone got what they needed.
The two reached a preliminary agreement. The remaining details would be discussed slowly once Jiang Yuan’s team produced a formal plan.
Once the business was concluded, Fang Yuan didn't let him idle. He asked Jiang Yuan, "Shall I take you to see the trainees?"
"Sure." Jiang Yuan didn't object. He also wanted to see if there were any promising prospects he could sign to the platform to bolster its lineup.
