If I Wait Thirty Years

Synopsis

After a KTV outing, Sima Qiuyun, a modern 90's woman, finds herself inexplicably transported back in time to 1987. Now Qiu Xiaoyun, an 18-year-old art student, she navigates a vastly different world, armed with the knowledge of the future and a surprising connection to her college instructor, Liang He. In her time, Liang He was a mature, respected professor, but here, he is a vibrant, if somewhat stiff, 22-year-old graduate student. As Qiuyun adjusts to life in the 80s, she finds herself drawn to the younger Liang He, even as she grapples with the implications of their age difference and her lingering memories of her past. But the past isn't done with her, as she crosses paths with a young Lu Xialan and learns of the events that shaped Liang He into the man she once knew. Can Qiuyun navigate the complexities of this new reality, help Liang He find happiness, and perhaps even find her own way back home, or will she forever be trapped in a time not her own?
