After storming out of Lan Mi’s house, Wanqi Aotian headed straight to his usual nightclub in a fit of rage, marching into the private booth that was perpetually reserved for him.
“Young Master Wanqi, here is the drink you ordered…” The waiter had barely set the glass down before Wanqi Aotian snatched it and downed it in one gulp.
“Bring me a round of every single drink on the menu today,” Wanqi Aotian commanded rudely.
The waiter bowed and nodded repeatedly before scurrying out, accidentally bumping into someone as he closed the door.
“I’m so sorry!” he apologized frantically, knowing he couldn't afford to offend anyone in this establishment. He looked up. “B—Boss.”
“Wanqi Aotian is here again?” The woman addressed as the boss gestured toward the booth with her chin.
“Yes. It’s Young Master Wanqi.”
The woman looked intrigued and took the order slip from the waiter’s hand. “This round is on me.” She simply wanted to see what kind of expression the once-invincible Wanqi Aotian was wearing now—especially after being toyed with by Lan Mi, a woman she had never taken seriously, to the point where he had nearly lost his entire company.
She changed into a server’s uniform and walked inside carrying a tray.
“Put the drinks down.” Wanqi Aotian sat alone in the large booth, holding a tin of hair wax. A mirror was propped up on the table, and he was busy slicking back his hair.
“Does Young Master Wanqi have any other requests?”
Wanqi Aotian glanced at her impatiently, his brow furrowing immediately. “Are you that… ugly woman?”
“Ugly… woman?” The boss looked down at her own figure. “Your taste is as atrocious as ever, Wanqi Aotian.”
“Hmph, it really is you. You tried to crawl into my bed back then and I kicked you out. Are you still not over it?” Wanqi Aotian stopped looking at her, returning his gaze to the mirror to continue applying his hair wax.
Seeing how he completely disregarded her, the boss was thoroughly provoked. She clapped her hands twice, and several men in black suddenly burst into the room. “Grab him.” The men rushed forward and pinned him down.
The boss walked up to him with a mocking smile. “You think you’re so special just because you have hair wax? Well, I’m going to make sure you never use it again.” She picked up a pair of electric clippers and shaved his head completely bald.
Wanqi Aotian was so shocked he didn't know how to react.
After everyone had left, he sat dazed on the floor of the private booth, staring blankly at his fallen hair and weeping. “I… I won’t be able to use hair wax for a long time.”

“So, because of that, you harbored a grudge and went to a wedding to commit murder?” The interrogating officer was a young man who stared at him with sharp, piercing eyes.
“Yes… I lost my mind for a moment. I felt it was all Lan Mi’s fault. Since I could no longer use hair wax, what right did she have to be so happy?” Having calmed down, Wanqi Aotian spoke as if it were a trivial matter.
“…Your hair would have grown back in a year at most. Yet you used such a vile weapon to destroy the lives of others, resulting in four deaths.” The young policeman’s voice trembled with uncontrollable anger. “Everything you say will be used as evidence in court. This interrogation is over.” The officer turned to leave the room.
“Wait,” Wanqi Aotian called out to him. “The bodies of those four people…”
“Madame Tussauds said they wanted to study the difference between wax figures made from real people and artificial ones. They’ve borrowed them for the time being,” the policeman said coldly before walking out without looking back.
Wanqi Aotian was left alone in the endless darkness to regret his choices.
“In prison… I won’t be able to use hair wax for the rest of my life…”
